New Art club starting on Saturday morning @ 9.30 – 10.45am!

Come and join us for a morning of creativity! All abilities welcome.

Art classes are small, fun, relaxed and creative, with the aim to build confidence and inspire.

During this termly course, children will learn how to use a variety of techniques and use a range of materials to create their own artworks, based on a theme or artist.

In the first half term the children will learn about essential drawing skills such as line, tone and mark making and basic colour theory.

They will the learn the tricks of how to make something look 3D using tone, wow you with their detailed pattern work looking at Zentangles, bug you with their bug drawings and impress you with a colourful, collaborative piece based on the work of Patrick Caulfield.

In the second half term we will look at the work of Aboriginal artists. The children will explore through games and activities how to use symbols in their work to tell a story, how to draw animals and create an aboriginal style painting and finally design and decorate their own wooden boomerang (it won’t fly but will look pretty cool!)

I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
